Mr. Justin Fortune is assigned as the Deputy Project Leader for TADSS Support Operations (TSO) within the Program Executive Office, Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (CPE STRI).
In his current position he is responsible to support the Project Lead in the execution of AR 350-38 TADSS Maintenance Program, providing integrated training systems maintenance and selected training services world-wide. This effort entails management of no less than five contracts encompassing the maintenance of almost 300,000 TADSS world-wide. Prior to joining the Department of the Army, he served as a civilian employee for 11 years for the Department of the Air Force. He served in various roles to include his first civilian position as Branch Chief, A3OO Current Operations, Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) responsible for the readiness of the Operations Center for the AFDW Commander. His next civilian position was acquisitions related serving as an International Planner for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Engine Integrated Product Team coordinating F135 requirements and actions with the JSF Partnered Nations. From International Planner he moved into the Retrofit/Modifications Manager position for the F135 Engine with a driving goal to ready the engine for Initial Operational Capability (IOC) of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Following USMC IOC, leadership reassigned him to be the Production Lead for the F135 Engine. After working at the JSF, he took a position with the USAF at Eglin Air Force Base as the Deputy Materiel Leader Direct Attack Munitions, Foreign Military Sales (FMS). From there he moved to be the Production Manager Small Diameter Bomb Increment II and then Section Chief, Subscale Aerial Targets.
Before joining the ranks of the civilian service, he worked as a contractor supporting PMA-265 FMS programs at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. Prior to contractor and civilian service, he served on active duty in the United States Air Force retiring in the rank of lieutenant colonel.
